Just playing around a bit here in Washington on 40m. So far have Alaska,
east coast, west coast and 3rd coast. Doing pretty good for a portable
station.
While I've been out of town, someone dropped three truckloads of dirt on a
field where we used to bash. So, I had to try it out. They're pretty big,
so I got some pretty huge air off of them, but the fun was cut short by a
sheared CVD pin. Bummer!
Looking good here in Ohio.
Got a chance to operate with on of the local boy scout packs. Pretty fun.
Didn't post last time, so I'll see if it goes this time.
But yeah, $350,000+ car.
Got a Jennings UCSVH-35 vacuum variable capacitor for $35. Kinda low capacitance at 39 pF but the price was right.
Pretty nice place. Stopped in to grab an early dinner and check the place out. Not too far from my hotel, about 40 min ride.
Really cherry rig, but $400 is too steep for me
